A Charity Fundraising Rally Benefiting the Dane County Humane Society 🐾💛

🌄 About the Event

Join your fellow car enthusiasts for a fun and friendly 4-hour, ~110-mile, all-paved road time-speed-distance (TSD) road rally.

You and your rally partner (driver + navigator) will follow Route Instructions that take you on a scenic tour of the beautiful country roads southwest of Madison.

Spring Scamper is a rookie friendly rally:

• 🛣️ Great roads & great scenery

• ⏱️ Your goal: arrive at each checkpoint as close as possible to the correct time

• 🏆 Trophies for the best scores

• 👨‍👩‍👧 Perfect for beginners — no prior rally experience required

📱 Timing & Scoring — Richta GPS Checkpoint System

We’ll use the Richta Competitor smartphone app to time and score the rally:

• After registering, you’ll receive instructions to download the app

• Keep Richta Competitor open during the rally

• The app’s GPS automatically time-stamps your arrival at each checkpoint

• 🎉 Your score for each checkpoint appears instantly — no waiting until the end!

🐶🐾 Beneficiary — Dane County Humane Society

Your entry supports the Dane County Humane Society (DCHS), which provides refuge, care, and new beginnings for over 9,000 animals each year — pets, exotics, farm animals, and injured/orphaned wildlife.

DCHS is:

• 💛 A private, community-supported charity

• 🚫 Not affiliated with any government agency or national group

• 🏡 An open-admission, adoption-guarantee shelter

• 🐕‍🦺 A leader in humane education, wildlife rehabilitation, pet food support, domestic-abuse foster programs, and more

Every entry helps DCHS continue its mission of Helping People Help Animals.

Choose one Class when registering:

Use any app or device to determine whether you’re early or late, including those showing average speed over distance.
Recommended: Mojo TSD Navigator for Android.

👟 SOP — Seat Of The Pants

• No timing calculations

• No devices/apps that show average speed

• Only the Mojo Competitor app is permitted

• Ideal for relaxed, classic “just drive it” rallying

🌱 First Timer

For teams where neither crew member has ever run a TSD rally before.

• Check-In Opens: 11:00 AM

• First Car Off: 12:31 AM

• First Car Finishes: ~4:30 PM

💲 Entry Fee & Registration

• $20 per person

• 2 people per car required

• Pre-registration only (no on-site entries)

• 30-car limit
